A simple/basic cleaning (Prophylaxis Cleaning Adult and Child) is when there is little or no build up of calculus, but maybe there is some discoloration such as yellowing stains. Basic cleaning is the cleaning procedure performed to thoroughly clean the teeth. This is the type of cleaning you will normally have along with your twice a year check ups. it is an important dental treatment for halting the progression of periodontal disease and gingivitis.
Note: Most insurance plans provide this benefit for free to little cost since it fall under preventive services. If you do not have dental insurance think about buying a plan as you can get low cost plans that will maintain your preventive care and that alone will save you money.
